"This class was amazing! The quality of teachers exceeded my expectations and it definitely gave me insight to the music world and

taught my son skills that he'll be able to apply entering pre K and he now picks up on the techniques he learned. I would give this class

and teachers a 10/10"

FAQs

Does my child need their own violin? For the intro to violin class - Nope! We provide age-appropriate instruments for class use—box violins for younger students (ages 3-6) and real violins for older students (ages 6-9). For the Wee Class and Suzuki book 1 class - Yes! Bring your violin.

Do parents need to stay during class? Parents and other grownups are the real teachers in class. For the intro to violin classes, come with your child and sing, dance, and play with them. Your connection to music and to your child will grow throughout the week. For Wee Violin and Suzuki book 1 camps, a grownup in charge of your child must be in the building.

What should my child bring to class? Your child should bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothes for movement activities. For camps, all materials will be provided, and families will receive a t-shirt and tote bag.

What happens at the end of the week? Each session culminates in a group performance at the New Mexico Veterans Memorial, where students celebrate their progress in a supportive, encouraging setting.

Are there scholarships or financial aid options? We want every child to have access to music education! Please contact us to learn about any scholarships or financial aid options that may be available.

My child is 6 years old—should they be in the 3-6 class or the 6-9 class? It depends on your child’s personality and learning style. Do they enjoy being a leader in the classroom? Do they thrive on mastering new skills quickly and independently? If so, the 3-6 class may be the best fit. On the other hand, if your child loves a challenge, enjoys learning from older peers, and is comfortable tackling more complex concepts, the 6-9 class could be a great choice. Consider what environment will help them feel confident, engaged, and excited to learn!
